Not too rusty?!
Found a dead AE86, would you bring it back to life?
Left rear fender: Inside the hole: Right rear fender and door frame: Roof: Rear arc and under: Inside rear bumper: Seems a nice front engine bay and firewall: Nice interior too: Engine is 220,000km old and is not working now. |

If you have lots of time and money you could save it. If not save yourself the trouble and buy a better one.

Turn it into a rat rod?
The rust on the left side is pretty nasty, but other than that, it doesn't look that bad. I would require some welding skills to mend this. And perhaps even a spare AE86 to cut pieces from. AE86 - 4AGE - 1984 My project - http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/another-d...on/t/13190 |

PatrickAE86 Wrote:i give you 100 euro's for parts... I've seen cars like this being saved but this is beyond reason - unless you are an oldschool panelbeater with tons of time. So I have to agree, salvage whatever you can and may the remainder rest in peace AE86 ex-daily |

I do lot of oldshool rust repairs, can be done, but thats a bit to much work, even for an AE86 especially if you have to pay someone, looks allright from underneath...
I´d say spares and repairs Interieur looks mint! 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |

Goto-san's hachi was in much better condition than this one.
In principle you can revive any car from the death, but the question is what your budget/available time would be? \About any structural section (apart from the front) is need of repair sections. Also almost all bodywork needs some patching up. Unless you are very much attached to this car (e.g. father/uncle/relative owned) I would say just break it up in parts. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
