Not too rusty?!
Found a dead AE86, would you bring it back to life?

If you have lots of time and money you could save it. If not save yourself the trouble and buy a better one.

Turn it into a rat rod?

The rust on the left side is pretty nasty, but other than that, it doesn't look that bad. I would require some welding skills to mend this. And perhaps even a spare AE86 to cut pieces from.

I've seen cars like this being saved but this is beyond reason - unless you are an oldschool panelbeater with tons of time.
So I have to agree, salvage whatever you can and may the remainder rest in peace Crying

I do lot of oldshool rust repairs, can be done, but thats a bit to much work, even for an AE86 especially if you have to pay someone, looks allright from underneath...

I´d say spares and repairs Wink

Goto-san's hachi was in much better condition than this one. Wink
In principle you can revive any car from the death, but the question is what your budget/available time would be?
\About any structural section (apart from the front) is need of repair sections. Also almost all bodywork needs some patching up.
Unless you are very much attached to this car (e.g. father/uncle/relative owned) I would say just break it up in parts.
