Posting Excel data to the forum
Hi guys,

I've seen a couple of threads where people are asking about final weights of an AE86 etc. This is something I've been interested in as well and over the years I've weighed small parts that went through my hands and tallied them up in an excell sheet. I'd like to throw this data online, but preferably in a usefull format that retains the column spacings etc for readability.
Using Excell would also make it a lot easier to manage any incoming data from members and merge them into totals.

Does anyone know of a method to get this done?

I have a lot more info on suspension links, lengths, angles etc as well that could also be shared in the same way (probably less interest in those but doesn't matter)

Far as I know there is no way to post an excel sheet on a forum unfortunatly Sad

I see only 2 options:
- take a screenshot and post the picture here (but if it have a large amount of data it will take several sreenshot...)

- upload the XLS file somewhere and post the link here so everyone can download it.

Just some way to get it nicely aligned in tables would be fine.I'm sure I've seen the feature on some other forums..

There is a way to do such a thing on the forum as we did create pages like this in the past:
http://www.aeu86.org/index/ae86-colorcod...topic=4756

There is no documentation on this and it is a bit difficult to explain, but I think an example would help:

[table:3db9af5ece]
[mrow:3db9af5ece]Type[col:3db9af5ece]Subtype[col:3db9af5ece]Color
[row:3db9af5ece]Example 1
[col:3db9af5ece]Example 1 subtype
[col:3db9af5ece]Green
[row:3db9af5ece]Example 2
[col:3db9af5ece]Example 2 subtype
[col:3db9af5ece]Blue
[/table:3db9af5ece]

Which is coded like this:
[code:1:3db9af5ece]

[table]
[mrow]Type[col]Subtype[col]Color
[row]Example 1
[col]Example 1 subtype
[col]Green
[row]Example 2
[col]Example 2 subtype
[col]Blue
[/table]

[/code:1:3db9af5ece]

I'll keep the excel upload in the back of my head for the new forum software. Thumbs up!

Thanks Banpei, I think I can slap together a quick script to export to BB format, wasn't sure if table formatting code was supported.

Time to see how likely a sub800kg AE86 really is.

Apparently I can, bit of a workaround, but Excell export is working. Time to get cracking.

Dunno, but I don't like linking to outside the forums.. This should be the hub of data, preferably with sticky's or articles.
