wow we have a large activity, I am very glad for that reason - thanks my Friends.
Oldeskewltoy, I have nothing against reverse engineering if it is done if properly. But I know that is not always that way in Haynes. Skyracer I know what You mean, I can feel it in my bones. But I have a few questions: - are there any pictures of wind tunnel research ? - any technical drawings ? - longitudinal section ? Ivan are there any technical drawings in this Haynes ? Now Project D, I think that You can imagine how much questions I have for You now ? But I'd like to start from those above |

Excellently, I felt that two-door will have greater drag. But I wasnt expecting that difference will be so big. Many thanks Mate
Is there something about the lift coefficient ? |

Project D are U still up there ?
I hope that You I will answer in the lift coefficient matter. It looks like the 2-door may have greater downforce on the rear axle, though I should rather write - less lift. Is this book mentions something about it ? |

Nothing mentioned about that, and I believe (except for super car maybe) manufacturer never provide that kind of data anyway.
You can consider yourself lucky that Toyota provided the drag coefficient. |

Thanks Mate
Hm, I didnt count on Toyota. You're right usually manufacturers dont provide such data, some aftermarket tuners does and some old school magazines dit that (like Sports Car Graphic). But its okay, its not a problem, I will have to use virtual technology as usual. but the more real info, the better because my 3d model may not be perfect - that's why I was asking. This method let me get correction coefficient. Unfortunately I do not have 3D scanner, and even if I had, I dont have a car. All that remains is photometry, boy o boy it will be a fun. |
