Nice going!
I had a similar case with my exhaust. There is a difference between the automatic and non-automatic exhausts and a slight difference between TA60 Carina and Celica exhausts. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

So, i'm going to break my KP61 in 2 days, which means i will be having AE86 struts converted to coilovers to go on the front, and some random springs with KYB AGX's in the back. I've might have someone who has some S13 camberplates, which should fit into place, maybe with a little persuasion.

I did some testing and fitting today, here is what i found out:
http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic/the-a6-ce...036#160036 I started with disassembling the front brakes, on the right side, as this was making a squeeking noise. Here is why: It seem that the person who last put in some new pads, didn't place these the right way, as one of the mountingtabs was outside of the bracket, and as you can see, the whole pad is crooked as a result. That might explain why the car pulls to the left when braking. Also tried on some rear springs, with this as a result: |

What type of springs did you try?

It took about 3 weeks for the brakepads to arive . Not ordering at that webshop anymore.
I also found out why 1 brakepad was so crooked. IT DID NOT FIT!. Apperantly the inside of the pad hit the bracket, preventing it from going in place. I had the same problem with the new pads, so i solved it with an angle grinder . So now, the car does not pull to the left when braking, the squeeking noise is gone, and the pedal feels a lot better. After al that, i had the car MOT'ed yesterday, which it passed with flying colours . Even passed the extra check by the RDW . So now i'm good till march 2016. Tomorrow it will be lowered, and the SSR's will be back under the car. I got a videoshoot on friday, for my club's upcomming event called #WNGN: http://www.wngn.eu/ Check it out! Indoor selections have just opened, and we are looking for europe's finest to put indoors! |

Congrats!
Is your car going to be in the photoshoot? Was the bracket at fault with the brake pads or the other way around? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

It could have been the bracket at fault, as the other side didnt have the same problem at first. I'm not sure what has happened to the car in the past, but seeing as some things have been repaired in a "strange" manner . The radiator for example is one that does not belong in the car, and it has an extra coolant bottle which i think is from an old renault .
Anyways, Tuesday things got mixed up a bit, so i worked on the car yesterday instead. Unfortunatly i did not take any pics during (dirty/greasy hands), but the end result speaks for itself: The front can still go about 9cm's lower (not that it will), but i will leave it where it is now, as the springs havent had any load on them, so most likely they will still drop a bit. Here is the list of parts i used: Front: AE86 struts, shortened 4cm's GroundControl coilover sleeves Eibach 550lbs springs SW20 rear Kayaba AGX shocks S13 camberplates combined with T3 KP61 topmounts AE86 Caliper bracket (strut-caliper) AE86 Steering arms TA60 spindle+brakedisc Note that for the front i had to file out the holes of the topmounts slightly (like 1mm each) and in order to fit the TA60 brakes on the AE86 brackets, i used a small spacer and longer bolts in order to get it right. Also the TA60 spindle on the AE86 strut is not ideal, as the thread is a bit shorter, and the hole for the cotter pin isn't as far out. With a bit of creativity and a smaller cotterpin, it all worked out fine. If you have the complete AE86 setup, it shouldn't be a problem at all, as that will be even better. Rear: AE86 "Craftz" springs, i believe these are either 5 or 6kg springs Random Kayaba AGX shocks, don't know what model they came from, but they fit just fine. Bought these second hand and where previously used on a KP61 TA60 Caliper+bracket So, all ready for the filming on friday. There will be a number of nice cars there from what i've heard. I will post the endresult once it's done . |

Stunning result!
I assume you mean 9mm lower and not 9cm. Why use the S13 camberplates with the KP61 topmounts and not use the AE86 ones? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

rust removal, 4age in and voila you have one heck of a car.
