Personally I would stay well clear of a manufacturer who appears to endorse their product with the name of a potential competitor.
The ARP reference is obvious.

What do you mean by that? Normally all the aftermarket conrod manufacturers sell them with ARP bolts?

Here is an advert from Arrow engineering and the there is just a mere reference to ARP:

Arrow know that their products are good and don't need a 'big' name to help endorse them.
The Chinese rods featured appear to be more about the bolts than the rods themselves and are they even genuine ARP bolts that you get ??

Big brands also like to advertise about the bolts.
A good example:
http://www.briancrower.com/makes/toyota/4age_rods.shtml

I can't see the ebay rods but there is enough well known brand rods available on the market to don't have to buy chinese stuff.

I guess in this case they are at least telling you they are made in China so you know what to expect.
The market is flooded with Chinese rip offs and if we buy it there will very soon be no place left for the quality stuff we know and can rely on.

The other thing to consider is that the standard rods are very robust and an upgrade to steel H section rods is usually done to allow higher revs and if you are going to be running 8500+ rpm then you are going to be building a fairly serious engine.
For a few extra ££ why would you not use a proven product ?

My friend has bought a cheap (around 250 Ł )set of rods from ebay around 2008 for his silvertop built rally race engine. It was looking good, and his engine rev'd 9300. It happened that he wanted the exhaust to flame in the night and he did it on the rev limiter for about 5 minutes (!!!) the valve shim fell out one time, but no other problems, and nothing with the rod. I would buy them anytime. And I think I will..
