I'm a bit reluctant to sell them as they are in the "museum" now, and because with my custom engine mounts the engine sits about 20mm further back than with the usual AE86 or AE71 setup. Probably doesn't make a difference though. The rest of the exhaust would need to be modified / made to fit too. If you really want one, I could make a jig of the headers and fabricate one (or more?). With my current work schedule that would probably take about a month... |

I've been busy with work but have also been working on the corolla, building the full cage amongst other things. Also acquired some bigger injectors, so I should be driving this thing before snow falls in a month or two I'll take a few photos one of these nights |

Time for a fast little incoherent update.
So, since the last update a lot has been done, the previously mentioned full cage amongst other work. Along the way the colour changed, I wrapped the thing with matte black vinyl for this summer. It probably wont stay this way though... Front- & rear bumpers are fiberglass with aluminium brackets, total weight around 1.5kg. During the spring I rushed the car together to be able to drive it to my wedding, and I did. And because of the rush, many things still need attention; interior, rear 4 links, rear suspension and lateral support being highest on the list. At the moment I'm running a tad over 1bar of boost and the engine works good for the most part. Tuning the ITB's for boost was/is a bitch though. Rear lets loose on third and on cold tires on fourth... Hence the need to revise the rear suspension. But other than that it's working well. I've also been having some clutch trouble... Originally I ran a 225mm organic disc from a Hilux, that didn't last long. I then went to a 228mm sintered disc and that didn't slip, but after a few thousand kilometers this happened So, now I'm waiting for parts to arrive from stateside. Got a sprung ACL 6 puck disc coming, we'll see how long that lasts, hopefully for at least the rest of the "season", after that it doesn't really matter as I'm getting rid of the J161/AZ6 anyway. Why? Well, the AZ6 is a timebomb judging by the sounds it makes, and doesn't even shift all that nicely (never did). This is why it'll get the knife during winter and has to make way for german products (ZF). I do like the ratios mostly, though 1st is nearly useless with my 4.1 final drive, but 2-3-4-5 are good. All in all, it's a fun / scary car...
