4agze wiring problem
Pretty sure that the GZE has a thermostatic idle-up valve the same as
all the 16V 4AGE's. If you are not feeding the valve hot water from the cooling system, the valve will stay open and push your idle up. Also check that the idle air bypass screw is screwed all the way in. At Idle you can expect the intake to run at a similar vacuum to a N.A. engine. So there could be 7 or 8psi of vacuum inside the hose. That will suck most flexible hoses flat And this... http://www.pbase.com/aw11mr2/sensors_and_vacuum_lines Cheers... jondee86 The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. 4agze wiring problem
The 4A-GZE uses an electric ISCV which has a light green motor on the valve.
The ecu controls the valve by the RSO and RSC pins, from memory the middle pin on the valve motor is the 12V supply to the valve and most likely a black and red colour. The valve defaults to around 1000-1100 rpm if it's not connected. How high is your rpm once the engine warms up and settles to a fixed rpm? |

But it seems that the water is just for preventing throttle icing, and maybe to help the bi-metallic spring on the ISCV do its job in the event that there is a failure of the electric solenoid. So of your ISCV is wired up and working, then vacuum leaks would be the next item on my list, starting with injector seals Cheers... jondee86 The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. 4agze wiring problem
I belive idle its at arroud 3/4k. I still not modify my tacho to work with this ecu.
For sure its pretty high, so high i fell fear to let it rut till warm for the moment. I want get idle fixed first. The iscv is connected but there is no water connected at the moment, as there is no a such cold country. What is the brown solenoid on the top of sc? It feeds air to what? Also i have a hard line that seems came from sc to the bottom of tb, for what is this? I guess i have a air leak cause is so high rpm on idle to be an electrical failture and today i remove the sc belt to take a look on what happened and it does the same thing. Cheers |

4agze wiring problem
Yesterday night ive been lookingo for for an air sucking leak and what i found was that if i blocked the tb with my hand, engine still runs even getting high idle rpm, but then i removed the inlet manifold hose and bloked it and engine stops.
So the air leak is between tb and inlet manifold. I guess it maybe a sc gasket. I will make new gaskets with paper gasket and i will see what happens. I will let you kno tomorrow. Cheers |

4agze wiring problem
I finally fix the problem. There was sucking air from icsv and also on a joint of 2 hoses.
I removed the complete iscv module from tb and blocked it with a piece of carbon fiber. I still not make a test drive cause i have many wires all over the interior of car. I will make it tidy that i know its working and will take it to see how it goes. Cheers |
