Yes me too I saw the AE86 in japanese video games it was called TRUENO and it seemed like a spanish name so I thought it was a SEAT but it said toyota and because of the poor CG in the first GT or battle gear it looked super boxy and remembered me of a bizzarre italian car called ARNA (alfa romeo nissan associated??) so I was ultra snobbish about choosing that car and I went supra all the time. But because I had an AE92 (actually I didn't know it was an AE92 and had 4A-GE@inside) my curiosity was growing as I noticed the car was also included in ALL japanese games then I finally saw one for real in Tokyo and it looked damn good (and sounded good either..) then I have seen it in the model kits and the comic books of Initial D and made the decision to posses it...my precious...until a few years ago I couldn't immagine it was sold in Europe...the first one I have seen for sale in Europe on the net was the french blue and yellow race car.

Any news about the HK movie????

Haha... I can remember when I googled for trueno when I first saw Initial D:

Captain Trueno to the rescue!

And trueno.com is registered to a Spanish shoemanuafacturer. Indeed very Spanish.

The author of Initial D watched it and said that the movie expressed all his feelings and bla...

It will be out in China (Taiwan, Hong Kong included) 23-24July
the cars used in movies will be on auctions in Hong Kong starting from HKD$10,000($1282USD) and it (or they, the website emphasize AE86 only but it also said, all the cars will be sold..) will be on displayed at shopping mall (saw it, lucky they changed that ugly meter board but the cup holder was removed)

Hmmm, if I look at the first movie I see the Skyline rwd-drifting through the corners. Does this imply he drives a GTS now instead of a GTR?
Argh! In the third video (ae86) I notice they are using a turbo-ed hachi. Shame on them!

Anyway, I've watched all the movies and now I'm so hyped up I really got to see the movie.
