Value your own car
i have been thinking about this for a while now.
What is my car really worth... As an "old-mans-car" - a regular Corolla from 1986, it would be worth around 3-500E with tax & MOT paid. but it´s an AE86 with registered rollcage & damn lot of otherstuff. Also the car has never been solf as new in Sweden. = MORE VALUE My insurancecompany´s quote was - between 7500-8000 Euro. But this was after i gave them new pictures & data/info about the AE86´s history in the world of cars. So, what about your cars ??? Kris I´m sorry sir, your planet has been sceduled for destruction in favor of an intergalactic highway -Thank you Kristian Hesselmark, Sweden EVO-DRIFT-STREET-DRAG-SHOW |

Based on what current prices are for AE's being sold in Holland I'm guessing my car is worth around 2000 - 2500, probably could get 2500 - 3000 for it if I fix the exhaust and the rear axle and have alot of patience
When I'm finished with her (interiour complete, bumpers good and sprayed, sideskirts on, etc) she would be worth over 3000 but there is nobody mad enough in Holland to buy my car for that price. I think that is the biggest problem, the car is worth much more then someone is willing to pay for it. In Holland the popularity of the car is not yet as high as in the UK or the US or Japan. My can in the US would probably be sellable for over 4000 euro's in its current state Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

only about 5K USD... *shrug* then I guess I could buy a 1997 or 1998 240SX, but then I'd feel bad crashing it...

Dunno what my car would be worth. I'm sure more than I paid for it. I'd guess if I fixed the windshield, brakedisk and dash around 2500. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Well being a AE85 and in an ok-ish condition my car would be worth maybe $1500 to $2500 MAX! but once it has been repainted, 4AGE droped into it...tidy'd up etc etc I should be able to get in the near region of $8000 to $10000 even more if it is super clean straight car.
But thats after I would have spent maybe $15000 on it hahaha. But in my mind and hart its priceless  |

Besides, you can save alot of money by learning to do most things yourself, most of that money will be labour costs.. James Wrote:But in my mind and hart its priceless :wink:That is so true!
