Big in Japan
Hey people, as some of you may know, I had a few days trip in Japan in August. Here's a few pics. Unfortunately the three AE86s I saw were all while I was in some sort of transportation medium and no photo was possible. But I make it up with an amazing 1971 Skyline GT-R (straight six, 2 twin Solex carbs, heavenly sound).
PS. No, I didn't buy any AE86 parts, or anything car related, except 5 DVDs 2 Option magazines and a GT-R magazine. |

The trip was non-car related. More of a cultural experience. But cars are a part of my life and part of Japan, so... Most cars in Japan are small city cars, MPVs and stations. The tuned-up monsters only come out at night and a foreigner without a car and a Japanese connection is highly unlikely to bump into touge runs, drag races or simple meetings.
Having said that, my schedule was packed with museums, temples, tradition in general. I just barely had the chance to take these few car pictures. The only owner I had the chance to talk to (barely, with hand signals) was the oldschool Skyline driver. He was friendly and very proud of his baby (as anyone would be). As for the non-car par of the trip, Japan is an amazing country in every respect. People are friendly and will always try their best to help as much as they can. Everything seems organized to the last detail and works as planned. Trasportation, queing, eating, even using the toilet was a whole new experience for me, coming from a city where total chaos, last minute planning and loud people are the norm. If it weren't so expensive, I'd be planning my next trip already! |

OMG, a cuore transformed into a mini!
It looks like it is a type x And ofcourse: the 1971 Skyline GT-R is still the only REAL GT-R. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Unfortunately the game is very old and outdated with low-polygon cars. So ofcourse the Cuore looked like a mini. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Yesterday I met Dorito, I saw the pics, and there was one from the back of the car.
Yes it is a Cuore, so Bamp is right. The most intresting thing was that Lefteris told me he saw a lot of those, so this was probably sold as is and its not a custom job. danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the endhttp://www.jdmbits.com |
