Who here is from Ireland?
AE86 GT Wrote:20vwill just wonderin u have a 20v in yer yoke? would love to get one fitted in mine for bitta extra power. Seen a Toyota powered Mark II Escort at the Donegal Rally the guy said he was pushing out 194 bhp. Aye, there's a 20v inside mine... You'll need the 20v engine, loom and ECU, plus a lot of time to fabricate new water lines and re-locate the dizzy to the front of the cam, or bash/cut your bulkhead. A better option is a decent mappable ECU like Motec, Haltec, Omex or even Megasquirt. This way you can use coil packs so that solves the dizzy issue and also you can tune ignition and fuelling to make decent power... Stock AE111 blacktop makes about 140hp at the fly on stock ECU, but I've heard of ~150bhp AT THE WHEELS on a stock engine with Megasquirt!! Do it laaaad... it's worth it for the revs, noise and response! Power is a bit lacking, but go aftermarket ECU and spend some time tuning it (ignition advance) and you'll have a mighty yoke. |

Howya lads,
I've used this site as good source of info for building my '86 for a while now but only recently got the finger out to sign up............... and then eventually post something ! Have a 20 valve hatch' that I use in D1 and on the road occasionally.Runs well but didn't have time to do everything I wanted on it as the season was fast approaching, gonna be busy this winter though http://www.ericosullivan.com |

Hi there Ivan 141 ,if you can tell me how to post up some pics ,id be delighted to show ye. Slow sully's is a beautiful machine alright , but if you heard the noise out of it flat out ud just fall down ,with the combination of the 20v and the carbs it screams .And he certainly knows how to drive it too . Also in our D1 drift championship here in eire we have a lad with an sr20det engine AE86.

Macautos,
Simply use the postreply button instead of the quick reply bit in the bottom and there should be some stuff there that allows you to add attachments to your post. When an attachment is a picture it is shown directly in your post. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |
