Big brakes on my SE-86 at last.
Yes Bill, but my goal is to use 14" Supra rims.
Original AE86 rears are 231mm. The 257mm seems to be a little improvement but if we compare the friction surfaces - things are not linear. PS: AFAIK Toyota Corolla Verso 2002+ 1.8 uses ~300mm 4X100mm fronts. But I forgot to measure rear ones ![]() |

Thanks for that. I don't have a vacuum booster any more so I need a large diameter to help the pedal pressures.
What it likely to happen is that I'll find a disc that doesn't have a 'hat' in the middle and we'll just mill one up out of alloy to suit. I'd also like to try to keep the standard caliper, so I can keep the regular handbrake as well. But I guess better pads will be needed, too. |
