An update on our forum

The last time we did this was a long long time ago, so might be nice to put some attention to this. Banpei, maybe you can add some server stats to this posts, gottah be fun

We have a total of 456 members
12 of which have reach our highest rank of Bunta with more then 500 posts
We have 141 members who've never posted so they either left us or are only reading this board (thats 315 active members, thats nearly 70% of active posters! )
We have a total of 29702 posts (well 29703 now) in 2033 (well now 2034) topics.

We have an average of 68 posts a day, 4.6 topics started per day and roughly 1.05 members joining per day since we started this board (15th of August 2004)

I'd say, we're doing very nicely so far

Hmmm, okay some server statistics:
We get roughly between 4500 and 6000 unique visitors per month which is roughly about 900000 pageviews per month resulting in a bandwidth use of 7 to 10 GB per month.

Monday, truesday and wednesday are the busiest days of the week.

Visitors per country this month (last month):
1. Holland (Holland)
2. Denmark (Greece)
3. Greece (Denmark)
4. Sweden (Croatia)
5. Poland (Sweden)
6. Belgium (Australia)
7. Croatia (New Zealand)
8. Norway (Belgium)
9. Portugal (Portugal)
10. Australia (United Kingdom)

Last month we got 768 hits from people searching Google, 205 from MSN, 165 from Google images and 91 from Yahoo. Others are just too low to mention.

When they enter from a search engine, the most sought phrases are:
1. ae86
2. aeu86
3. toyota ae86
4. ae86 levin
5. 7age
6. initial d wallpapers
7. aeu86.org
8 ae86 forum
9. initial d episode guide
10. toyota corolla ae86

Next week the new (ahum) server is going to be placed, so very soon it will have a 100mbit connection.

The dsl line is still making it, but I'm not too sure how long.

I'm still amazed by the speed of this forum on it's current connection, I wonder if the 100Mbit are going to make it any faster than it already is. At least it will solve a few issues for future expansion and reliability.

You're right. Especially reliability is very important.

But I can also tell if more than two persons are browsing/posting on the forum: between 9 o'clock and 11 o'clock the connection is getting clogged up nowadays. So it will get better.
