TE71corolla has a coupe.
The one on the picture below is the liftback version. For the GT version of those E7 series, in the Netherlands this always was the coupe, in Germany it always was a liftback. |

Real nice to see the car, i had a te71 as my second car, it was called the coupe, then i had a liftback for a while KEsomething, then another coupe before i could afford the insurance on a '86. The '71 only had the 2TB engine in the UK, we never got the 2TG unfortunately.
I have to say that some of those pictures almost has me wanting one again. So i'm really pleased to see what your doing with it Jasper |

The quality of the welding and the powdercoating that is done on those things looks really really good. Please tell me you're using all new bolts to put everything together later on.. I cant wait to see it assembled and looking like it just came from the factory (but probably even better).

AEsuperG Wrote:here is the coupe version i want to find. That is actually the 2-door sedan which was available both with a 1.3l 4K engine (KE70) and the 1.6l 2T engine (TE70). I've actually got one as a winter beater - that 4K is no powerhouse but it just keeps on going even with 290k on the clock. The 2T-G twincam engine was only in the GT-spec models - picture attached below. |
