next year i will fix the spot that went wrong during paint and put the side mouldings on. Now during winter time i will enjoy the car and work on my sideway stuff!

hi all time for an update!

Talked to my tuner today and orderd a new set of camshafts. While I thought of going to a 272 degree cam with 8.1 mm lift he gave me a better option.

I am going to the following setup:

Intake 256 degree with 9mm lift
exhaust 264 degree 9mm lift

I asked him about shims etc and he was able to tell my this setup would run fine on a standard engine. I have to believe him he had a 4A-GE tuned upto 200 hp!

Also I remember my conversasion with Bill from billzilla.org. He told me he had a standard 4age running on 9.4mm lift cams.

I should be fine. Cams come in next week after that I have the following list to go trough:

-intake (prolly air filter with a cold air intake)
-computer change to a standalone megasquirt
-exhaust change including headers


The reason I am doing the exhaust as final is because what I read about the 4age. It runs fine with a stock exhaust upto 170 hp :-)

Nice going robo! Is Ivan building a couple of megasquirts or are you buying a pre-assembled one..Don't know who your tuner is, but if you need someone to do the mapping, you know my number..Might be an idea for some of us to just chip in and buy a wideband together..most of us will be needing one anyway and the ones they have at dyno stations (up the exhaust) suck donkeyballs..

Oh and by the way: Ive got dibbs on the catcams! Just put them away in the corner together with that redtop in parts :wink:

I think you won't need megasquirt with those cams... no way.

And what's up with the bigger cam going to exhaust?

I'm gonna try running 272+264 on stock ECU and intake manifold.

I'm either going to change the injector or install a fuel pressure regulator.
