Sorry to bring an old topic up, but I just noticed it...
Supra manual 6spd gearbox (Getrag V160) uses ATF fluid from factory. So there are at least some manual gearboxes which can use the ATF. Don't know about the T50 though.

I use Wakos or Oberon synthetic gear oil (The red stuff that makes strings when you put it between your fingers and pull them apart) in mine... Seems to work well and doesn't degrade too much at track speeds. Expensive stuff, but well worth it.

Not sure if it's available in Europe, but there must be some similar stuff there.

Hello,

Du bist krank. I had a AE86 with 348 000 km and a lot of times geard with 7 600 tpm, buth it is perfect al the time. No scratch, no nothing, just once in the 100 000 km fresh (normal standard) oil. It is like new.

I think it are the best gearboxes you can get.
When you break it: siimpel: YOU CAN'T DRIVE. Buy a Opel (german perfection) Tongue Tongue Thumbs up!

You had the luxury of owning your car from the start...most of us have to make due with the neglect of previous owners..
And a T50 really isnt that strong...if you drive it normally it will probably last long enough..even with regular sporty use.. But our drifting forum members go alot harder on the gearbox y'know..

Oke maybe I was to quick with my reaction.

But indeed for normal (street and also fast) use, I think it is one of the best gearboxes I ever had. For circuit use, I can't not know enything about that (sorry for that).

Greetings, René Hurray!
