How many Hachis are left on the road?
Man guys i feel so lucky. I didnt even realize how hard it was to get these in your countries. There are so many in just california alone its cool. But they are still considered a collectors item for the jdm fans. The going rate on a dead stock hatchback is ......Oh id say about $2500-3500 US dollars.

But i bought mine while i was in Highschool for $500 dollars from an old lady. Then my friend and i fixed her up throughout the years.
How hard is it to get an imported 86 from the states. If so i could always look at getting some to ship out for you if they get to rare hahaha!!

I would say just in Southern California theres about umm....(guessing) around 1000 or so. Maybe less. I have a couple of friends who have 2 or 3 86 completely built 86's that just sit in there garage. Bastards.haha. Ok see ya

I'd say the estimates for belgium are a bit too conservative. I spoke to a belgian 86 owner on a meeting over a year ago, and he told me that the village he lives in has at least 3 or 4 AE86's driving around. (must be a nice village), combine that with the other ones we know of and I'd say there should be at least a minimum of 15 ae86's, and probably a lot more that you never hear about.

Maybe it would be a nice idea to start a sort of register for the dutch cars at least, so we can find out how many are actually still around. I know that a guy has been sorting out how much ae82 GT's are still around in the netherlands (over 500!, 150 still driving), he'll probably have some information about ae86's he came across as well. I also have some old pics from corolla meetings, which gives some more license plates that we can check.

Updated the estimates with 9 for Belgium.

But making a register of the Dutch cars is a good idea. I'll see what I can do. Thumbs up!
