Flywheel Weight?
Hi,

I'm planning to make a weight reduction to my flywheel, but i don't know how much weight i should reduce...

The idea is to have a faster revving engine but without a massive performance objective.

Anyone can help me?

Thks

Thank you very much Robo...

Can i remove 2kg from the OEM flywheel or it's better to buy one already lightened from an aftermarket brand.

What would you recommend?

It is always better to buy an aftermarket flywheel than to machine the oem flywheel, and you wont get it down to 4 kg... an exploding flywheel does a lot of damage, plus it is located just beside your feet!!

Get a hold of Max Misawa from illegal garage, he has some good offers these days, and he is very helpful with any questions you may have.
I just ordered a clutch kit from him, and i´ll keep you posted on shipping time and quality of product. But I have yet to hear anything other than positive feedback. Thumbs up!

I have some friends, who are rally racing and all of them are reducing the stock flywheels in tuning garages.
This is what actually Max Misawa from illegal garage says about it:

I also believe that 5kg is a good balance between better responce and everyday driving.
