Fluids
Hey.

I want to change all the fluids in my car like oil, brakefluid, coolerfluid, gearbox oil an whatever you got more.
What fluids can you guys recommend me to buy?
I'v got an 4AGE 16V engine in my car an im going to use the car for racing/drifting.

I dont have a clue what to buy. Confused

We had a subject about oil a while ago:

Dunno about the oils though, but reading the topic again gives me the impression most people use 10w40 (also for drifting/racing) and GL-4 for their gearbox and GL-5 for the LSD. But you'd better read the topic yourself and make up your mind there. Tongue

And about brakefluid:

For brakefluid I'd advise you to use dot 5.1

2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver

just buy a literbottle of dot5.1, some places sell it for reasonable prices.. if you just pump it through on each corner untill you see clean fluid you'll be good to go. Draining the brake fluid conpletely requires more fluid cause you'll need to do more bleeding. It also introduces the risc of breaking the master cilinder, which often goes bad when you try to refill the system (using the normal pumping method).

Your correct then..just make sure you're carefull with the bleeding if you do it manually.
