Tokio - where to go?
a friend of mine is going to the tokio motorshow. now thats one good chance to check out some other interesting places as well. at least he hopes to find some time to crawl around. he has 4 days and he must be at the show to take some pics. there is very little time left so it would be nice to have an idea where to find the "real" interesting places without spending much time asking around.
i heard there is a district known for tuners. maybe its mentioned in the lonley planet tour guide anyway? any idea where to go ??? wreckers ... shops ... tuners .... road maps in english (not japanese!) ... links .... anything is welcome maybee a cousine or a friends friend was there and has an idea where to start searching. cheers, mo |

Tokio - where to go?
Hmmz tokyo and mt Akina are very far away from eachother ....... Prolly a day or more talking more than a couple of 100 km
Tokyo has some backstreets with good shops a friend of mine was there but in case of cars he doesn't know i would check local scrape yards for AE86's :-) Cars: "99 Lexus IS200 "86 AE86 Kouki Panda Levin GT-Apex (restore project) "84 AE86 Zenki Blue Levin (project racer) Motorcycles: "02 Yamaha R1 "02 Honda Hornet S "08 BMW R1200GS |

we will see what he will do there. it´s only 4 days ... with jet-lag .... and a big show. maybee he gets a few days more but anyway there will be very little time left so he should know where to start. any idea? is no one going to japan on summer holydays e.g. i am searching for something like these (but more specialized in used performance parts or that like) http://www.rizubi.com http://www.carland86.com/information.html http://www.j-garage.com/imports.htm i have no idea where these citys are .... really extrem names he should first get a good road map! |
