Levin,
Hehe well I think my tires may actually still make MOT, not sure.. we'll see ![]() but if not, I'll either use the 13" I still have in the barn (unless nohachi pics em up) or take you up on your offer ![]() I've still got some nice rimms from Oldskull but haven't gotten round to putting tires on them. Thinking about putting new tires on them and using my current set as drift practice tires when the time comes... Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi ![]() |

Just got a call from Toyota, they have my window waiting for me at the dealership..check! Not bad just a 3 day wait for the last KE-25 window remaining in Europe. Time to check with the panel beater when he will be ready to accept my car.

Ok, took the gamble on a set of 5cm lowering blocks.. Will have to see whether they fit either the KE or the volvo..
I need to figure out whether I will be needing shortstrokes or not. Doc: could you maybe crawl under your car and confirm whether the rear shockmounts are a part of the leafspring mount or whether they are mounted straight to the axle? Much appreciated! Ah Thomas, thanks a lot! Guess I will be looking for shortstrokes pretty soon then. I heard that some corolla's had them mounted onto the leaf spring mounting plate..That would have meant that the stroke always stayed the same and very easy swapping of axles too...Oh well..guess we'll have to do it the hard way then.

Found a pic from a TE28 rear suspension..These do have the shocks mounted onto the spring platforms. Funny how the complete suspension setup seems different between relatively similar models...
It does make me wonder whether it is possible to retrofit these spring platforms onto the KE...it would make the swap to the LSD axle housing VERY easy indeed! A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

i think it has something to do with the station shape.
If i'm right, the KE26 also has a different rear suspension setup as the Coupe and Sedan. Need to look it up at the parts catalogue to be sure, but i guess it's the same. //edit: Need to say this: What a f*cking clean underside! Mine isn't even close to that ![]() "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

I think they should be able to be retrofitted to the KE-XXs too..That would mean that you don't have to weld new shock brackets to an LSD axle and also that you eliminate the need for shortstrokes and can run all the cheaper normal stroke ones.
Problem is..where to find the things..I believe some of the later KE-3X series cars also had these platforms. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

KE26's are very rare overhere, someone from TACN is searching for one for quite a long time, but zero to none.
Maybe Mark knows how the rear shocks where mounted on his KE30, he should've seen it many times ![]() "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

The Doctor Wrote:KE26's are very rare overhere, someone from TACN is searching for one for quite a long time, but zero to none. Not so many as I've seen the ta40s (4 sets on it now, 1 year) The upper mount was under the rear seats The lower ones...I don't know... But they're not that difficult as on the ke20 I think it's similar to the ta40/ae86 I think Mark |
