At the request of Zax we've mirrored the movie he's made on our board so download it here:
http://files.aeu86.org/video/go-drift.com_37V.wmv Other mirrors (not our servers) : http://free-zg.t-com.hr/jerba/go-drift.com_37V.wmv You can also download it from http://www.go-drift.com/ but Zax's bandwidth is limited so.. There is some great drifting action from his trail runs aswell as runs from Paul Vlasblom and a few of the other contesters in there. Note that we've disabled deeplinking on our site so posting this link on other forums may not work unless people copy paste the link into a fresh browser window, feel free to mirror the file on other sites though after asking permission from Zax offcourse If you want to draw attention to this video please post this link instead: http://www.aeu86.org/viewtopic.php?p=50769#50769 (please note that if directly viewing the video in your player doesn't work, download the video first by rightclicking and chosing save as). (one of, if not the best video of Zax's drifting, so download it!) Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

I'm impressed beyond words.
I knew you could drift, Zax but not that you where top level material. I'm so impressed! Hope to see you drift IRL sometime, Sensei! |

Zax...just watched the video. Wish I'd have come along, have much respect for your performance.
It seems the bimmer is a bit up on speed compared to you.. judging from the difference in noise it might have something to do with the tyres you use.. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Mike,
Hmm I heard 480, awell got one number wrong Point just being, the beamer does have more power then the S13 so that could explain the speed difference that Ivan noticed for a part. Offcourse the important bit is always the skill of the driver which should never be downplayed in this. Power helps but only so little which is a fact only known all to well to us Hachi lovers (don't forget some of our hero's drift 180hp hachi's and have won or score high in the D1 in Japan against 400+ hp cars). The overtake Paul did had nothing to do with speed, all to do with experience (and damn its so beautiful watching it again on video ). Still seeing their single runs one after the other on the video it does show how far Zax has come, it really is nice being able to compare Zax who still is a relative unknown drifter in western Europa to Hollands top drifter and the #8 (or 9, read it somewhere the other day, can't seem to find it now) in the D1GB. The fact that Zax seems to be able to keep up with Paul pretty much does tell me he's a damn good drifter who only still has alot to learn in twin drifting. (sorry, just feeling a bit proud seeing Zax is a member of the first hour of this board and helped shape this board to what it has become today). * little edit here, Paul qualified 8th on the last day of D1GB and in the battle for 8th and 9th place lost, so I guess he got 9th in that day. However in overal he became 12th in the D1GB competition. Sources: http://www.d1gb.co.uk and http://www.driftking.nl, just making sure I get my facts right * Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |
