Hmmm, some options:
195/50/15" Falken ZE512 is 48.70 per tire Toyo T1R is 49.30 per tire Uniroyal Rallye 550 50.10 per tire (have these on my rx7) Bridgestone RE720 50.30 per tire (heard good things about these) All damn interesting choices. Thinking more and more about Toyo but I like the Falken ones aswell. I have 65/14" at the moment so also look at 195/55/15" but then I get a lot higher prices: Falken ZE512 is 65.70 per tire T1R goes at 69.20... Damn, big difference for a little bit more rubber.... I'm wondering if I should go for 50's, as I understand it the tires are slightly smaller then I have atm. *edit* I think I'm stupid, have to check but I think I got 195/60/14" atm so 50's should do fine Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

Mux, give the RE720s a try. Should be excellent. The Falkens suck.

Owh another problem thats was interesting. I almost failed MOT on my brakes. It probably isn't a problem as this always disappears on the track or after heavy driving so I expect its just a minor thing. But my right front brake brakes 30% better then my left front brake. MOT states that 30% difference between left and right is the max. While driving this translates that when I brake my car pules slightly to the right. After some heavy braking this problem often gets less or goes away alltogether so I'm guessing its nothing serious and the MOT guy mentioned that if it was over 30% thats exactly what he would have tried out to see if this was a structural problem and a failure or not but still.
Anyone got any ideas? Could it be something else? A stuck valve? My pads are new, the fluid is new, the lines are new? Only the rotors are older.. Owh and my left wheel bearing has a little bit of play, not enough to fail but I guess i'll replace that soon to, I have a few spares Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

Today is a nice day
My swift springs are in!! Now I have to make a choice, do I try these out at lelystad this weekend. I haven't changed my front setup yet which will mean the rear of my car will be a couple of cm lower then the front, but it will also mean I will finally have a PROPER front to rear setup Thanks Sym! I have had several Falken tires, and havent had any bad experience with them atall! On the Carina i have the Bridgestone RE720 - its a nice tire but its loaded with roadnoise. The Falken tires i had on my previous Carina (the excact same size as now: 205/40-17) was much more silent.

The falkens are silent because they have increadibly weak sidewalls. If you look at them while theyre not mounted you'll notice they get very thin in a particular area..sucks for performance driving..

Well, they handle okay for roaddriving.. But so did the Falkens. When i had tho old Carina, i was younger and drove much more agressive - they never lost grip or anything like that.
Personally i would rather have a silent tire than a kick-ass performance winning tire. Youtube Myspace and I´ll Google your Yahoo |

Try the Bridgestones!
We both will have a Tokico HTS shortstroke setup, so we can compare your Bridgestones with my Toyos! 5/2018 BMW F22 Coupe 1/1985 Toyota AE86 Levin Coupe |
