Which intake to choose ?
go for this one!!! if you mount it right in combination with a header and exhaustsystem ist will bring you some HP+

And it keeps away the hot engine air... we even use the exact same one in our touringcar

How would this filter keep away hot engine bay air? Its an open filter and likely to cost you a few hp....It doesn't flow any better then a flatpanel so hp++ will be close to zero (more likely 2 or 3 hp--)

Ivan141 Wrote:No...exept if you have an AFM sensor.. that is just a crappy universal filter with an adapter plate so it fits to the sqaure AFM flange.

As far as the diameter of the pipe from filter/airbox to manifold is concerned: there is not much point in making it bigger than the throttle inlet is there... it is usefull to have a very big pipe for cold air intake into an airbox.

I don't have an AFM sensor, mine is from 1984 so which one to choose ?

just go to the car parts store and ask them if they have anything that will fit on the intake pipe you plan to use. Then buy it. Dont buy ebay crap that comes with unneccesary extra's. I must say that although the ebay filter is probably terribly bad, the adapter flange might actually be usefull so you can mount the filter to the enclosure you will be building around it.

I went to a cars parts store to buy a filter.... and the price.... 100 euros for a KN filter, I think, it's a bit too much expensive . The price should be around 50 euros I think, no ?
