I need a new car....
Yeah was looking at a legacy aswell, they are damn cool.Problem I have with the legacy is that its 4WD boxer turbo. Initial reaction is SUPER COOL, but you have to realize there is so much that can go wrong with those cars. Even when driven by some old guys these cars often have seen many many miles of heavy duty driving. People don't buy 4WD powerful station cars to do their groceries with...

(that said, Subaru Leone Turbo, damn sweet Sedans, very unknown cars, bound to be owned by someone thats taken good care of it).

Fiesta is to small I recon but it does look like new, that car must be in damn good nick.

Man, don't get me started on octavia's Big Grin

Mate of mine owned tuned octavia RS that he drove on the nurburgring. Very very cool car, but he did manage to brake it alot...

Wasn't his driving though (allthough he's freaking fast), they just didn't build those cars strong enough <grin>

surfingdrums,

evo would be so cool, just like the skyline. Big problem is, finding an evo in holland is like, uhm, finding a stick of gold in your back yard. IMPOSSIBLE.

The latest evo is being sold here in limited amounts, and some evo 6's have been imported, but they are hard to get. To import one myself would be madnessly expensive and would just end me up with a gas guzzling beast for which no parts can be found to maintain it.

Getting an evo 3 or 4 might be a realisting endevour especially to import one from the UK or maybe even Japan but even then, without actually buying the car itself I'm already looking at atleast 1000 euro's worth of importing costs and tax costs atleast. It just doesn't make any sence...

Evo 3, 4 and 5 have been sold as well in very limited numbers and their numbers decreased due to the driving style of their drivers. I know atleast one evo 5 which has been folded around a tree. Big Grin
However finding one of these babies it probably next to impossible and it will cost you a lot of money, eventhough the car is already more than 10 years old and got some serious beating during its life. Big Grin Big Grin

What about getting your wife to like the Impreza WRC or 555 Big Grin Big Grin

Ah...and all this time I was thinking we needed a safe practical vehicle...
Guys he'll be driving around his wife and baby, not doing laps of the nordschleiffe...as long as it will do 50km/h everything will be fine.
Everything around the kid will be more then expensive enough I guess, so I would vote for the best car for the least amount of money..fast cars or reaaaaaly old ones are usually a bad choice for a true daily driver (one that the wife can maintain too).

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Wise words and exactly the idea why I'm thinking more in line with Volvo 440ies then WRCs/EVOs/Skylines (though I can dreamBig Grin)

Anyways, depending on whether I can fix my diff or not on the hachi I have plenty of time to find a car so I'm in no hurry.. we'll see what crosses my pathBig Grin

Who-ever got you started about legacy 4wd turbo's? They come in FWD grampa-spec most of the time..those are what you would be looking for.
Well maintained (granny-owned), impopular, spacious and hopefully reliable.
