Is this diff whine and r&p or drive shaft bearing proble

hmmm shall I change all the bearings at once? Or only the rear ones? i see alot of bearings in the links above...
But yeah...those things are old and worn out evenly i think...maybe it's time to refresh all of them.

ehmm...replacing the differential bearings is a lot of work. Just start by taking out your halfshafts and feel how the wheelbearings spin. Should not feel lumpy or loose.

well i've been told it's very likely its my wheel bearings.

bad news is:

I gave them the wrong bearings! They said the retainer and bearing was too small FFS!

I initially bought a set of bearings (for the disc brake rear end - not knowing any different) I confirmed it with a fellow toyota parts man with chassis number that drum brake rear ends have smaller (cheaper too) rear wheel bearings. So I got rid of them and ordered some from Jamiemirror as they were drum brake bearings.

then today I get a call that they are too small and he'll order some for tomorrow (expensive too) Now I'm a little confused.

Zenki drum brake rear end
LSD (of some sort)
bigger bearings

Now the japanese must have swapped over the diff and half shafts during its life?

Can someone explain if I'm missing some shit

Maybe they put in drum brakes becaused they liked them better, or it's some japanese model taht came with that combination.

Is this AE86 rear end ?
Drums + LSD ?!

I checked the bearings as kit (by P/N#) and measured SR5 AE86 halfshaft ( I have pair of them) in order to be sure that bearings are the correct one.
Sorry pal, I can offer you money back if this is incorrect kit. Little confused abouth the rear end though

yes ae86
drum brakes
transmission number under bonnet indicates no lsd
but the car has one - as she donuts well , with a tsch...tsch tsch tsch as the wheels spin up

strange?
