no alimonos, he means the ignition timing. Adjusting the distributor.

I've ran my setup with juiced up ignition timing and the car just goes sluggish on me.

I set it up with 10º BTDC (stock setting) and camshafts stock setting, and it ran fine all the way up to the rev limit.

I set it with 13-14º BTDC with the advanced intake and retarded exhaust and the car will have nice bottom end, but when it reaches 5000 rpm it just goes slower and slower. And I can't seem to feel it detonating. I've heard my engine detonating once (I guess it was detonation) and I didn't feel it this time.

I've already bought myself an apexi safc and some other stuff that might enable me to raise the rev limit.

News soon.

Best regards

He's got it. I don't know much about cam timing but I'm learning for my build over the winter.

On N/A engines too much advancing of ignition timing is not always good. It's only good on F/I setups.
