This is an important picture
When I went into my kitchen I always saw this. Car in the garden, standing on a jack without rear axle and it was snowing outide. I wanted to go a round with this ~80hp car... And then I got an SR rear axle from SutteR with 100% LSD (welded) but it was broken. So I re welded it I just wanted to drive it in the snow or dirt (sand?) here are some pics of the broken diff: Then here are some pics of the car on the day I wanted to start the engine (I had bad luck..it didn't start) (9.12.2005) |

On the AE92 I often had problems with the braking. And when I saw the brake system of the 86 I knew it I have to upgrade something. At the first try I bought a pair of Mercedes G series front brake calipers 'cause they were cheap:
But it turned out fast that I won't to fix them on the hachi because the weights 7kgs of each! So I bought a used set of RX7 calipers, they are used on a lot hachies. Compared to the Mercedes one: [/img] |

Hmm, so that's why I haven't found my old welded diff some day. I'm a bit senile...
It can be clearly seen on the bodyshop-pictures that the mechanist is doing really nice job. It's only that he is very slooooooooow... 1987 Toyota Corolla GT coupe - for holidays oversteer 2005 Toyota Corolla - for daily understeer |
