Bad news guys...
Today, when driving from my home to town, I was in a big hurry... And Chiro obviously didn't like me driving him some 200km/h for a few minutes... My hedgasket broke... I had steam blowing on exhaust, and underneeth the car, the water temperature was fine, but than I realized, the cooler was empty, the coolant pot was full so obviously he steemed out the water and... Eniways... this is how I am going to spent my Xmas holydays... We alreasy took the camshafts out, but I don't have the torx wrench for the bolts, so the head will go down tomorow... more of this later... I am still in shock... I hope this is all just a bad dream... I gues thou this is a touch from upstairs... something bad had to happen today... First off my turn signals didn't work... so I took the car to electrician and fixed it... than, on my way to town, some jerk from Bosnia went to my lane, driving some 100km/h, I was at 190km/h... Braking blocking the tires, smoke pooring out, I would of hit him if he hadn't move the last second... I would of crashed, werry bad... who knows... That could of been the end... It was so close... we were some 0,5m or so when he moved... SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |

Just take it a bit more carefull man, bad things can happen at those speeds, especially on those roads you guys have, and some of the weirdos running loose on them in decrepid old cars.
You dont need a torx head for those bolts.. torx are like inbus bolts, only with more splines on them (dunno if that's the english word but it doesnt matter much). The headbolts have the profile on the outside, you need those 12-sided sockets (pretty standard) to get them loose. I hope a new head gasket will sort it out.. depends on how long it was running hot. 2 Ivan- the bolts are not a problem... I have the tools in the garage on coledge where we are building the Formula Student Car... The whole set of Gedore. BUT, the garage is closed till saturday... as everything else, so, I will take the head down with a standard wrench, hopefully not braking the nuts (the head of the nuts) and then get the momentum wrench and the torx from the coledge... No problem...
rio was of big help, he brought the SST (hint: by sst I mean the tool this little guy on the picture has on his belt ) and helped to take the pullys off some more pics Big thanx to Zax!!! He gave me the head gasket set today!!! Zax I'll pay you back as soon as I can!! You're the man, man!!! I hope, as things are now, realysm is that Chiro will be back on track by next friday!!! I'll get by with a little help from my friends!! Thanx guys for helping me!! Zax Rio Tom Mario Maria- for the garage, heating, warm rum tea, beer, food and your car (my girlfriend- she kicks ass ) Meshin and all SNO-MO-BIRU project started- CHIRO |
