Its back!
Another update, while the car was away for sand blasting i put my new welder to use and made myself a spit. Fitted extensions to the steering rack. Then today with the help of a few mates picked up the car from the sand blasters. Then came the test wether or not the car would fit in the garage on the spit. It does but we had to turn the car upside down to get it in the garage as it wouldn't go in under the door :wack: Once in the garage the car misses the roof by 5mm when turning it over So my Dad and i have spent most of the day cleaning the chassis legs to enable me to do the seam welding. |

It cost me 100 GBP, BUT, the guy has not done it as much as i'd hoped to be perfectly honest, i was hoping it would have been done down to the metal including the sound deadening from under the car. But hey, for that price i can't complain The main job is to remove all the rust so its the perfect way to see it |

I do have to agree it does look less rusty than expected.
But I think we all saw too many horror-stories before. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
