i have asked a distributor of megan in austria about the ae86 coilovers. he told me that he has the megan stuff but has a better quality product which is the same as megan's but better quality and with softer springs(for me, it doesnt matter if it has softer springs for i want 8/6kgs). i guess he wants me to buy the second one for some reason.?...
he sent me a picture of a D2 coilover which is not for the 86. looks nice tho...
anyway the price for megan coilover set is 900€ + shipping cost
price for the ? i guess D2? coilover is 900€ and that includes also the shipping cost.

i dont know anything about D2 products. whats your opinion guys? does anyone had experiences with that?

so there is another thing i dont understand.

on megan racing site its written that the cost is $1040, toyd1drifter said its available from $900
so why does it cost €900 from the austrian dealer? its too much difference in real cost and too similar to the original numbers Big Grin
but that really does matter if its in $-s or €-s. in my case, i would not be able to spend all that 900 in euros. Sad but in dollars... i would have a nice coilover set in a week :]
now im waiting for reply. hopefully its his mistake Smile

I dont know in your country. But here in Holland above $900 we need to pay taxes. And I am sure you will come close to those price (€900). But one more thing, since the euro is quite expensive... maybe a good idea to get them from US? Anyone who have more idea about this?

In Austria you have to pay taxes above 25€ !! Banging head
price for Megan coilover 1040$ (~730€) + shipping + customs (dont know exactly... about 3-6%) + 20% import tax + margin = ~900€

it might be better buying directly in the US and tell the seller he should fake the invoice to a believable price, about 400$, to pay lower customs....

it worked fine for me Wink
