Sunday 30th of January we organize the First Open Belgium Drift Challenge. Only 50 euro for a whole day of drifting at this new track. The track is only 1 hour from Calais. More info: Action Racing School, ask for Joep 0031653541632.

I guess around 3 to 4 hours drive from where I live, its near the french border.

I emailed the guy and basically its a day with multiple things happening. They have instructors for people who wish to learn drifting and will do a combined drift day/drift challenge day. So if you just wanne drift, thats fine, if you just wanne compete, that is fine, if you wanne do both, great!

OOOOoohh...this sounds cool.
Now if I could only find some cheap low profile 14" tires, I could try to see if the 280zx rims fit without rubbing..or just fit some stronger springs.
But anyway, for 50 euro's I'm very interested..(+100 euro's petrol most likely)

Not a bad idea...I think I'll be beggin for some used tires at the local dealers.
One thing bothers me a bit though. Its an oval track, I do hope that my car wont be flying into some wall when I make a mistake (note I said when, not if...)
I know from experience that the car mostly just turns a 180 when things go pear-shaped, but at higher speeds the dangers are bigger.

Ivan, that is always a risk.. I wonder if they are going to use the parkinglot for some lowspeed thingy aswell...

what got me bothered is that we'll be running around in the same direction, only drifting left or right. I hope they change direction from time to time

Still it looks like a pretty nice place to practice.

Well, until I rebuild my diff, the car wont be to eager to drift right turns....unless I use weight shifting offcourse.

Looked at the oval. Seems pretty dangerous. If you go off the track you're in a concrete wall. Don't think you'll get much for the 50 Euro's either. There can be maybe 2 cars on the track at the same time.

You'll be there the whole day, but only drive for an hour or so.
