Old BMW 2002??? or Alfa GTV coupe? EASY... you say the AE86 is very much like both those cars but 2 to 5 times more reliable!!

Tell your mother, dont get upset later like my mate at work. He drive opel and when I bought my 86 he always bugging me why I bought that old car. I just dont care what he said till once he get wake up from his cousin about toyota and corolla 86. next day he ask if I want to sell mine to him and few weeks ago he told me he gonna drive toyota and he gonna buy an toyota next month

The hachi is more to us than just an oldskool car. Its a cult car and we love it. You cannot teach or have someone understand that.

Just compare it for your mom with her favorite thing to do. (like shopping)
