My Levin projekt - Another Danish renovation

Futher worked on the spoiler, more fiber glass mats under the rear window, and got it sanded down all the way around put no pics, will come tomorrow, where I will start laying some puttey.



Sandblasted and painted my shock absorber shell (Don't know the exact word for it.) with hammerite, along with my new brake dust covers, so they can last another 20 years. :-)





My friend started welding the last rust it had, and the antenna hole in the fender, and also the sprinkler hole in the hatch.







I also repaired the srew wholes in my side skirts with epoxy, so hopefully the car can be done to friday, where i have an appointment with the paintshop.

How did he fill the antenna hole? did he fit a metal plate behind it and weld over that?? then grind it down.

Yeah a metal plate on the back side, and welded it afterwards.

Fixed my side skirts and rust protected my fenders, hopefully will they not begin to rust again for many years.



Also rust protected the area underneath the fender and the lower engine bay.




Got my windshield out, and sanded down the small surface rust it had, and gave it 4 times Primer, should be enough.



Now I just need to mount the fenders and the front suspension, and then it will be ready for the paintshop on friday :-D

Hopefully it will be done by the end of september, don't know how long the paintshop will have it.

But need to have it done by the 6th october, cause i'm going 7 months to New Zealand there. So I can't drive it (legally , lives on a farm on the country...) until may 2008 ...

Finished assembling my suspension in the front.



And finally it was on its wheels again after 4 months above the ground





Just need to fit the hood, and vacuum clean the inside of it for sanding dust.

Delivered it to the paintshop, hopefully the next pics I'll upload will be of a freshly painted AE86. :-)

Black metallic with some Gold flakes, not one of the traditional colors, but think it will look sweet...
