motor info please help!
Is there any body that knows the differece between a black top 20valve and a silver top 20v. A reply would be helpful.

Also i was wondering if anybody has done a 20valve motor swap into a 16valve gts and if so do you know how difficult this swap would be any details on this swap would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Yes there is a difference between these engines. The blacktop is the successor of the silvertop and produces a few HP more.

As for swapping in a 20v into a hachi roku, just look around the technical and projects section, several people have made this swap. The engine is pretty much direct fit because it uses the same 4A design and bolts onto the T50 tranny just fine. Major issues involved relate to the fact that both these engines are only present in FWD and MR cars and you will have to make changes to the cooling system and to the timing system. Also you have to fabricate an exhaust and do nice wireloom work.
