Like I said, it's almost certainly a high-compression smallport engine, the compression is not that high at all, but it's higher than that of the older tvis engines. TRD make headgaskets that are thinner, so do cometic. I'd say that's the best bang for buck, next thing would be shaving the head a bit.

Just pulled the wiring harness and computer. It wasn't easy...
but it looks good.

Any experts in the area that can do the fuel injection? I've done FI swaps before and find that experience counts for a lot...

It has aluminum intake manifold, so I think that is a 1ZZ...
I have no plans for it, but maybe I'll start fabricating a adapter to the RX7 transmission... Smile

and 2ZZ-GE have a aluminium intake manifold.

Check the number on flywheel side.
