air fuel ratio gauge!
does any1 know how 2 wire up/install a afr gauge 2 a 86?!
ive got a gauge with 3 wires, a red, black, and blue! and need 2 know where they wire up 2! my 02 sensor on the 86 has 1 wire, black in colour. im guessing 1 of the coloured gauge wires go2 this, not sure which 1 tho?! And the other 2 wire up2 wot?! can any1 help me out, or has any1 wired up a afr gauge b4 thanks guys |

02 sensor on the 86 has 1 wire, black in colour --> thats your signal
and the other 2 wires on the AFM is (+) and (-) |

jup I believe that just is feed.. like all the other gauches it has got 1 signal wire and feed!
it is a small band O2 sensor reaction that I got for this sensor from a salesguy @ zerospec(specialized in Subaru Impreza Turbo), that it is a smallband sensor and will only work good at full trottle. for the rest to check your O2 continiously you will need a wide band lambda and gauche but i do not know annything about that yet.. and they are much more expensive.. cheers roel |

Buy Bosch LSU4 sensor from VW shops in USA, relative cheap (<80 USD shipped).

WBO2 sensor needs a controller electronic for heating as well as to generate narrowband (programmed) signal. Without heating, the sensor itself didn't last too long...
Narrowband sensors (and AFR gauges attached to it) is not really a solution to monitor proper ratio, it's not more then a lean/rich light. Check wbo2.com for further info. http://www.ae86.hu |
