T1R are fantastic tyres from what i've heard, but you should go with 185 width, if you wanted better wet preformance.. hachi is a light car, its very easy to aquaplane with wide tyres.

Greetings from Latvia
Another year has gone and red hachi (our project) looks about the same as last year Sad lack of time. All we did - sandblasted and powdercoated all parts we wanted except rear axle. And spent a lot of money on parts... again.

So last year my brother with his Impreza won Summer Cup overall and got main prize laptop.

Winter was succesful too. Last year (RWD class) he was 5th in championship. This season third (5 events drove Fii' ae86, last event on tarmac drove Honda S2000).

Summer season started very promising, brother (Impreza again) has 2nd and 1st place in first two events. This year we have created team - brother (Impreza), Fii (blue hachi) and Fii's friend (Honda S2000). And team's name is "Tofu Delivery Team" Smile

Here is video from first event (188mb!!! Sad )

I really hope next year we will participate in summer cup with our project car Banging head Blue hachi isn't very competitive.

2JZ engine in this picture is just background for important stuff Smile

p.s. as You see in pictures above, Fii owns 94 Supra TT. In picture is late spec JDM engine (with vti etc.) that evetually will find its place under Supra's bonnet.

This winter here in Latvia we didn't have a lot of snow. So most of races (5 of 7 ) happened on tarmac and my brother won championship! Hurray! 4 events we drove blue AE86 and 3 tarmac events Honda S2000.

No, it will not happen this summer. We can't find garage that will restore red AE86's body Crying

Unless You install bits from project car Smile

These suspension bits are :
Front:
Paradise Racing Coilovers 8 kg/cm with Tokico HTS shocks,
T3 camber plates
RCA (Roll Center Adjuster)
T3 Big brake kit with Wilwood calipers, Hawk HPS pads
Quaife quick steering rack
Cusco strut bar

Rear:
Swift 6 kg/cm springs with Tokico HTS shocks
Adjustable panhard rod

Prothane bushes everywhere.

Car is faster on track now. But poor Fii Respect! Now he has to drive car with quick steering rack + Toyo R888 205/50R15 everyday Huh

We were curious about engine performance because of smoke and engine's age. So today we measured engines condition on chassis dynamometer. Results: max power 115 bhp, and max torque 145 Nm on flywheel (calculated with 18% loss). Good overall result, but a little disapointed about declining torque line after 5800 rpm. Confused

This year we did some "makeover".

Its not perfect , color doesn't match, everything a bit skew. But overall we are satisfied, car looks better
