radio / antenna

hi!

I was digging behind the central console this weekend to get my radio working (loose ground in the end). I found a not-connected to the carradio antenna thingie... does the AE86 have a built-in antenna?

Because right now I have some crappily installed automatic antenna, which does not seem to work at all (hardly any good reception, but that could be due to the radio as well, cheap ass lenco ).

Anyways, if the AE86 has a built-in antenna, chances are that the left-over connector is from the built-in antenna.

Anyone can shed a light on the radio/car audio capabilities of the venerable hachi?

Mux knows a lot about antena ask him

standard antenne is located on the left front wing. In some models (non euro) it has the bend with the windshield (symetric)

Its a crappy long ass thing which looks ugly as hell. Just replace it with one under the windshield. (which you could also make into the trunk or something.

thanks i'll dig around and see what i can find.. there is no antenna on the left front wing. Just one ugly one on the rear trunk with a motor (and very crappy wiring on the inside ).

Maybe I have one hidden somewhere, couldn't trice the other antenna wire, so I was just wondering.

I know Mux installed an internal antenna on his windshield.
