Doubt about TRD springs height
Hi,

I have TRD springs fitted in my car (FR 6 Kg, RR 4 Kg).
However the rear stays some milimeters lower than the front, it seems like i have some weight inside the trunk.

Anyone faced the same situation with TRD or other brand springs?
What's the better way to solve this "problem"?

I want to keep the front height unchanged so i'm thinking to fit some spacers in the back between the spring and the axle or between the spring and the body.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Regards,
Pedro

Doubt about TRD springs height
Had the same with my Btune springs at the rear compare to the eibach coilovers at the front. I hated the look so i lowered the front even more. After my arches were widened i drive rear tires in size 205/55-15 and 195/50 at the front. This also helped to get the front hangover look Smile

check this thread. Maybe Tofu Ben still got those spacers:

Doubt about TRD springs height
Mine did the same with 6/5.1 kg TRD springs. It handeled very nicely, but then I got a good offer on some front coilovers...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

Doubt about TRD springs height
TRD springs were made with shortened strutcasings in mind.. thats why the rear is lower when installed on a stock car.

Doubt about TRD springs height
According to some old information I have here, TRD at one time
offered a 20 mm spacer (Part #40815-TA452) for their rear RACE
springs. So I guess this is not a new problem :E

its correct. I am running 8kg front and 7kg rear. Don't care about the look but the handeling is important. I agree with Ivan saying the front was probably modifeid. Keep in mind that the standard hachi springs don't make the car straight either.

If they are race springs, they were probably meant to complement the trd racing shock absorbers. Those are also meant to be used in short-stroke applications.. without a short-stroke shock, these springs can come loose quite a few centimeters.

I had to cut half a coil to get the rear to set down level with the front. Running TRD front and rear with short stroke setup. Kinda wish I had just found a spring that sits the car lower than a trd rather than cut it. (they don't sit to good on the spring seat when you start cutting them)

Doubt about TRD springs height
Don't worry, I have mine under the car for almost a year now.
Had a couple of driftdays with them too.

They are still under the car. Wink
