Cams for a stock 4age 16v
I forget to note the injectors.
I know that the cams will notoffer all the power 100% with oem exhaust system and standard intake. But will be this moment very expensive if i ll set up an ITB and ll be necessary a standalone plus the exhaust system(really?). I have find an ITB from Blacktop but i have to buy or made a adapter. Thx a lot mate **COROLLA EE80 - 4AGE 124HP** |

Another vote for CATCAMS, I have just installed these:
http://www.catcams.be/800x600/prod01Adat...71051xx.js with underbucket shims and I can already feel a lot more power all through the rev range, next stop the rolling road An analogue brain in a digital World |

tolisspi Wrote:which underbucket shims???I'm sorry I can't confirm the Yaris ones for you as mine came from here: http://www.arrowprecision.co.uk/details.php?id=66685 and then I had to sort out the little top hat shims, they sit like tiny upside down buckets on top of the valve stems. Definately worth the effort in my opinion but I have not driven a car with similar cams with a lower lift. I would also recommend fitting a lightweight flywheel. I am still using the stock ECU and inlet etc. Idling is a little unpredictable but my intention is to fit some carbs I have in the garage. An analogue brain in a digital World |

alimonos Wrote:Don't the supra 7mge injectors (315 cc i think)do the job too ? Nope, those are WAY to big. Seen a 4age produce 190HP on 250CC injectors and still be able to run rich. On shims matter you can always use Yaris/Vitz shims but you will need to measure. Yes measuring shims, the CATCAMS don't allow any tolerance 0.20mm is what they say. If I were to go the Yaris bucket route I would buy one bucket that was the smallest available and measure them all up from that.
You would need to take out and replace the cams 16 times though ! I have two A4 pages of calculations going from the stock buckets/shims to the tophat type I used and still some were out too thick so that was a bonus, I just ground a bit more off. An analogue brain in a digital World |

Wasnt there someone who mentioned that 3SGE lifters will also work on a 4age (under-bucket shims!)?
