Nice looking kit.

However, I think that I should point out the following, if anyone is thinking of using this type of mod on a road car.

Once you remove the rear springs, the whole of the weight of the rear of the car will be borne by the rear damper top mounting points.

They weren't designed for this, and in many countries there is a problem of rust in this area.

I think that some strengthening around the top mount would be almost essential after all these years. Otherwise, in due course, the metal will either split or the spot welds will fail.

Harder spring settings will only make the problem worse on a road car. [Especially if you have bad roads.]

I'm sure it'd be fine in the short term, but for long term use, I'd be happier with some strengthening.
