Your rheostat (potentiometer whatever) is faulty, just fixed this on my car by taking the wire out of the connector and shorting it to the nearest groundwire I could find (on some un-used connector behind the dash cover). This way your backlights will work at full intensity, without adjustability. I'll be trying to fix mine once I put my spare switch in. could you tell me which wire exactly you grounded..?? the rheostat on my switch is kaput...the casing is cracked and the contacts / springs cant do their job.. Id like to have a temporary solution until i get a new switch installed.. |
