Spacers are not ideal bevause you are adding rotating weight and putting extra stress on the wheel studs. They will not feel shaky at high speeds provided they are dual hubcentric fitting - ie both the spacer/hub and wheel/spacer interface is dead centred. Bearings and suspension are affected by how far away the wheel is, yes. This is due to a higher levarage or moment force (Force x distance). Highly offset wheels with spacers are a waste of time if you ask me - just get the correct offset - it will look better because it will be deeper/more inset and will be a safer bolt-up. |
