Alu crank pulley.. are they good?

Something for nothing.... really ??
Agreed. And it is also worth remembering that, with the exception of a
few premium models, modern cars are not designed for extended periods
of operation at maximum output. Typical driving conditions only allow for
short bursts of full power (overtaking), followed by longer periods of
running at part throttle.

Extended operation at full power will exceed the cooling capacity of heat
generating parts, engine, gearbox, brakes and differential. I have seen it
many times in 6 hour endurance races for standard production cars. Even
on cars carefully prepared for racing, after 2 or 3 hours the failures will
begin to occur. Overheated engines with blown head gaskets, seized
gearboxes and brakes no longer working.

That is why dedicated race cars are built with stronger components, and
designed from the ground up to handle the loads imposed by racing
conditions. Its a balancing act Smile Not just a question of adding parts at
random, and hoping that they will give more performance without making
a problem somewhere else.
