Its one thing with a V8 engine or V6 that only spin to 6000 rpm, but with the potential to spin well over 7000, a reduced "fat" flywheel is not safe. To add to that, an aluminum one is better, but as Andrew points out, try to stick with a steel unit, far safer then lightening an aftermarket flywheel
