I understand the pros and cons of a live axle vs IRS...
However, if I set cheap vs expensive and long vs short(er) apart... I'd rather spend an extra year "developing" and messing about than "just" fix it and ride... The option of adjustability appeals to me very much... But this, I need to have on paper together with the right, corresponding, measurements, weights, and characteristics (steering and handling) due to it all... The following might sound a little weird, but I need to know parts are readily available if I were to wreck something... instead of a month or two of delivery times and other hardships... In short, there are a lot of things to look at, to work out and to determine. another little thing (issue)... however it's just hearsay... is the torquecapacity of the halfshafts in relation to the, to be produced, enginepower. So far it's a goal, this doesn't cancel the option of me reverting my idea and keeping the existing axle in place... I'm still in the startup phase of this project... Ideas and suggestions are always welcome... @ NoHachi: what did you mean by "stab"? |
