SekiguchiUeno Wrote:Nohachi-you should post more about the duratec topic, know that there are plenty of parts aviable in uk but the stock motor itself is not worth swaping or?How it should bolt on to the miata gearbox? Stock MX5-NC duratec = 175bhp (2ltr) and rwd gearbox. MX5-NC duratec with header, exhaust, intake = 200-205bhp MX5-NC duratec with header, exhaust, intake, ecu = 210bhp Fiesta ST duratec = 150bhp for 400GBP, bolts onto MX5-NC gearbox. Same upgrade path as MX5 engine, but simpler (no vvt). Good exhaust and intake = 180bhp. Add ITB's and 200-210. Crate 2l duratec = 1500gbp. So worth a shot if you are starting from scratch (aka you have no money invested in go fast 4AGE parts). Curious to see the dyno numbers of the new setup. Always thought you needed to rev a 4AGE to make hp, and that a 7AGE wouldn't like revs for a very long time. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
