Your first transition is equal to what I got aswell as Jeremy. Hence my comment before as I think as well it's very agressive. Either that or the flamefront in the stock engine realy progresses very slow.
Stock idle timing is indeed 16, at least on all stock 4age I've seen (this is with properly setting the base timing at 10 in diagnostic mode. Once the jumper is removed it goes up to 16 @~850rpm). PS: dug out the link I mentioned http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=74402 I posted the original transition Jeremy did in there as well. PPS: for what's it worth I think the agressive map is a good goal. One could lower it by a few degrees to be safe and then slowly uping the timing while tuning and see if it's doable without det. I might give this a shot on my current engine once I have my new engine around just in case something goes bang but this wont be before spring next year. AE86 ex-daily |
